I went to top the bees syrup up first thing this morning and horror of horrors, the wind had blown the top off of the hive!!!!
Luckily it was only the lid and part of the feeder had come adrift so apart from them having a bit of a cool night they seem to have come out unscathed.
I put the badger proof strapping on just in case its windy over the next few days! Phew!

ReplyDeleteI think we were lucky that it didnt raid and the cover board was propylised in place and the syrup feeder was full so although cool they remained water tight!
