The bees have been checked again this morning and all is well. The two hives are making good progress with signs of honey, pollen and brood. Both queens are very active laying eggs and one of the hives has had a further super added to create more space.  There are also signs of 'play cups' which show the bees are practising to prepare for a new queen! So we have to keep a close eye on them to ensure we prevent a swarm.
