Bees feeding each other.

I thought it was about time to post some photos from the Pollenbee Project.  Because of the nature of the hives I built to study feral honeybees (aka pollenbees) I've managed to get some interesting close ups of bees on their comb.


Here's one where you can clearly see the tongue of one bee apparently extended towards the other.  Are they cleaning or feeding?

Another thing you see in this photo is a worker bee tucked into a cell with her abdomen poking out, which you also see in the following picture.


You can also see capped brood comb, so I think these are new born bees.
