22-09-11 - Local Honey Tasting!

Honey from 7 different local hives was showcased at our Local Honey Tasting at Kingston Hill.

Students and staff gathered to taste the delicious honey, which were all very unique in look, taste and texture despite each coming from within a 10 mile radius of Kingston.

The honeys were from East Sheen, Sunbury, Staines, Feltham, Epsom, Wimbledon and Berrylands.

We asked each taster to decide which honey was their favourite - and the clear winners of the taste test were Feltham, Sunbury and Berrylands.

Thank you to all the tasters, and of course to the beekeepers (and their bees) who produced the brilliant honey. Next time we will be tasting Kingston University honey!
