Winter Protection

That title could be challenged under the trades description act as it was baking hot on the terrace this morning. Martin our consultant came up to put on straps to protect the hive from being overturned by badgers further into the winter. The bees were completely oblivious to the drilling they were all air borne toing and froing with legs laden with pollen, lots of them were foraging on the bushes outside the School of Education. Its amazing for 13 November.

We also took off the entrance block and put a mouse guard on. Hopefully we'll put the wood pecker protection on a bit later
